I present, after a lot of work and headache, the weapon I wished I'd had finnished for the Fictional Firearms contest: the Universal Modular Weapon Systems Modular Bullpup Rifle, 13

Caliber: can be converted to pretty much anything, but this one's in 6.8 Remmington SPC

Capacity: 30 rounds

Action: Can be converted to almost any gas system, this example uses a short stroke gas pistons

Fire modes: Semi, Auto, Safe

Notes: Full Comparability with many AR-type accessories, including: Pistol Grips, Rails, Trigger Guards, Magazines, Sights, Barrels, Flash hiders, Silencers, Buttpads, Selector Switches and Gas Systems

Aftermarket hardware: Magpul MOE grip, PMAG, MBUS sights, Milspec buttpad and trigger guard. FN Herstal Grenade Launcher, EOTech Holo Sight, Knight Arms AR Piston RIS.

I have a question if you don't mind. Is that the ejection port above the magazine?. If so I believe that poses a big problem to right handed operators if I'm not mistaken. The ejected brass would hit your chest and or face. I could be wrong which is why I decided to ask.

See the way it's shaped? That overhang is a cartridge deflector. Normally, bullpups do cause problems for lefties, but with a case deflector and the way it's ejection tends towards forward rather than back the cases go forward and down, eliminating the problem.

Sir, I want you to know that there are seldom any images that are so moving as to make me consider changing my desktop background. There are fewer still that actually manage to make me change it. This rifle is one of the latter.

Absolutely astounding in every way possible, I cannot emphasise enough how much I am in love with this weapon. You, sir, are one of the greats. I also see that you are pursuing patents and manufacturing. All I have to say to that is, let me know when they go on sale! I definately need one of these. Good luck, and great work.
